Genetec Appoints new Regional Sales Manager for New Zealand


Genetec Inc. has appointed Cameron Watton as Regional Sales Manager for New Zealand. In this newly created position, Cameron will work with Genetec channel partners to drive new business and continue to expand Genetec marketing penetration and revenue across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. He will be the first full-time employee based in New Zealand.  “Cameron has extensive experience and a strong network in the security market in New Zealand which makes him ideally suited to help accelerate our regional growth,” said George Moawad, Genetec Country Manager ANZ. “This newly created senior sales position aims to take our New Zealand sales efforts to the next level.”

Prior to joining Genetec, Cameron was the National Projects Manager at Optic Security Group overseeing the company’s entire project management team. Prior to this, he spent six years at Fortlock Group, most recently as Account Director where he managed large accounts valuing up to NZ$10 million. Cameron has extensive experience in Account Management and Project Management.

Commenting on his appointment, Cameron Watton said, “I am proud to be joining the Genetec team in ANZ and look forward to spearheading efforts in New Zealand. Genetec is experiencing rapid growth and I am looking forward to working with our channel partners and the ANZ team to further expand the Genetec footprint.”

Cameron is based in Auckland. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and Commercial Law from The University of Auckland and completed an Advanced Project Management diploma at Auckland University in 2017.
