Suprema has announced the release of BioStar X, a unified security platform that integrates biometric access control and video surveillance within a single system. The new platform is designed to simplify monitoring and coordination for large-scale and multi-site security operations.
BioStar X combines real-time access control and AI-supported video analytics through a single monitoring console. Administrators can view interactive maps, live video feeds, alarms, and access logs simultaneously, reducing the need to manage multiple systems. The platform supports role-based access permissions, zone-specific rules, and automated emergency responses, such as lockdowns and fire protocols.
The system also incorporates AI-driven video analytics capable of detecting events such as intrusions, falls, loitering, and tailgating. This data can help operators identify and respond to potential security incidents more quickly.
BioStar X is built on a scalable architecture that supports integration with other security and facility management systems, including parking control, perimeter detection, and robotics. Its open API framework is intended to allow interoperability with third-party platforms. The platform includes standard enterprise-grade features such as AES-256 encryption, database sharding, and multiple communication servers to maintain reliability and performance across complex environments.
Suprema stated that BioStar X can be deployed across both single and multi-site operations, supporting thousands of devices and users. The company said the platform is part of its continued development of integrated, AI-enhanced security systems designed for adaptable, data-driven operations.
