CyberPower has launched its Professional Rackmount Series, updating a family of six uninterruptible power supply (UPS) models that include built-in remote cloud connectivity and support 2U rackmount or tower installation.
The company said the range was developed in response to growing reliance on connected systems and demand for both backup power and visibility into the status of protected equipment.
“The new Professional Rackmount Series was built to meet growing demand for reliable power protection and remote monitoring of business-critical IT infrastructure,” said Robert Hartvigsen, General Manager ANZ at CyberPower Systems Oceania. “As businesses become more reliant on connected systems, they need solutions that provide both dependable backup power and greater visibility of their equipment. By integrating a Remote Cloud Card into every model, we are delivering a more convenient and accessible answer for businesses looking to simplify UPS monitoring and management.”
CyberPower said each model includes a Remote Cloud Card as standard for remote monitoring of UPS status and operating conditions, removing the need to purchase a separate add-on card.
“That is the standout feature and it is the one that changes the buying decision,” Hartvigsen said. “A UPS can be commissioned and brought under monitoring in a single step instead of two separate purchases. Combined with a Unity Power Factor, a space-efficient 2U design, flexible rackmount or tower installation and hot-swappable batteries, the range delivers an impressive combination of performance, convenience and manageability.”
The series offers capacities from 1000W to 3000W across six models. CyberPower said PR1000ERT2UC and PR1500ERT2UC are standard models delivering 1000VA/1000W and 1500VA/1500W, while
PR1000ERTXL2UC, PR1500ERTXL2UC, PR2000ERTXL2UC and PR3000ERTXL2UC are XL variants offering the same 1000VA/1000W, 1500VA/1500W, 2000VA/2000W and 3000VA/3000W capacities.
CyberPower said the XL models support battery expansion for applications that require extended runtime.
“The XL models provide additional battery expansion options for applications requiring extended runtime,” Hartvigsen said. “With six models ranging from 1000W to 3000W, customers can choose the capacity that gives them room to grow rather than sizing tightly to today’s load. Buying headroom up front is the cheaper path for most businesses, because the extra capacity sits ready for whatever gets added to the rack next, with no need to replace the unit when requirements increase.”
CyberPower also highlighted the use of a unity power factor, saying the rated wattage output matches the nominal rating, and pointed to a 2U form factor with a rotatable colour LCD for either vertical or horizontal installation.
Maintenance is supported through hot-swappable batteries, which CyberPower said can be replaced without shutting down connected equipment.
“Batteries can be replaced without shutting down connected equipment, which removes the maintenance window that would otherwise be needed and takes away the risk that a routine service becomes an outage,” Hartvigsen said.
Other features listed include pure sine wave output, automatic voltage regulation and PowerPanel software for monitoring and management alongside the cloud capability. CyberPower said each model includes a three-year advanced replacement warranty covering the UPS and its batteries.
The company said the range is aimed at businesses and IT professionals, including small and medium-sized businesses, enterprise IT departments, managed service providers, IT resellers and system integrators.
“The applications are the ones that hurt most when power fails,” Hartvigsen said. “Servers, networking equipment, storage systems, communications infrastructure and surveillance systems all depend on clean, continuous power and all of them benefit from an operator knowing the state of their protection before something goes wrong.”
CyberPower said the Professional Rackmount Series is available through authorised distribution partners and resellers across Australia.
