Codelocks (Australia) Pty Ltd has launched ConnectShare, a new range of smart locks designed to be managed via mobile phone using the Codelocks Connect App.

The company said the locks are part of its Connect by Codelocks portfolio and add new features and “enhanced connectivity” to its existing connected lock range. ConnectShare supports three access modes: user code, RFID card and mobile phone, with remote management available through the app.

“For holiday rentals and other shared environments, ConnectShare makes mobile unlocking and access sharing simple,” said Mark Samuelson, Regional Director at Codelocks Asia Pacific. “Administrators and lock owners can manage access remotely, granting or revoking entry from anywhere. Installation is straightforward too. There’s no need for wiring or internet connectivity. The smart features come from the offline capabilities within the lock, combined with the Codelocks app.”

Codelocks said app-enabled features include its NetCode Technology for generating date- and time-sensitive codes, a GuestCode function allowing temporary users to set a code for the duration of their stay, and a Do Not Disturb mode. Other additions include Multi-Admin to share management of individual locks and Dual Authorisation, which requires two credentials to unlock.

ConnectShare also introduces an activity log to the Connect by Codelocks product range, which the company said can record who accessed a door and when. Codelocks positioned the logging feature as relevant to regulated environments where sensitive materials or data may be present.

The company said ConnectShare is available now in two models: the CL4500CC, described as a medium-duty option with latch and mortice configurations, and the CL5500CC, described as a heavy-duty option supporting latch and lock. Both are available in Brushed Steel, with Solid Black also offered on the CL5500CC.
