Teledyne FLIR OEM has launched the Neutrino SX8 ISR 50-1000, the latest model in its rebranded Neutrino ISR Series. The new mid-wave infrared (MWIR) camera module features a 20x continuous zoom lens and is positioned as the longest-range solution in the current ISR lineup.
Designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) applications, the module targets long-range border surveillance, perimeter security and counter-UAS deployments. According to Teledyne FLIR OEM, the system delivers vehicle detection at up to 34 kilometres, recognition at 23.5 kilometres and identification at 20 kilometres.
The Neutrino SX8 ISR 50-1000 integrates a cooled 1280 x 1024 resolution MWIR sensor with an 8 µm pixel pitch. It is paired with a factory-integrated 50 mm to 1000 mm continuous zoom lens. The system uses the FL100 linear Stirling cooler, rated with a mean time to failure of more than 27,000 hours, and is backed by a two-year warranty.
The module incorporates AgileCore imaging electronics from InVeo Designs and supports Gigabit Ethernet, Camera Link and HD-SDI interfaces for integration into networked systems.
It is also compatible with Teledyne FLIR OEM’s Prism AI models for detection, tracking and classification, and supports Prism image signal processing libraries for functions including super-resolution, atmospheric turbulence mitigation and contrast enhancement.
The Neutrino SX8 ISR 50-1000 is NDAA-compliant and ITAR-free. It is classified under U.S. Department of Commerce EAR 6A003.b.4.a, enabling broader export flexibility. A software development kit and integration support are available for system integrators.
