Milestone Systems Opens New Customer Experience Centre in Melbourne

Video technology software company Milestone Systems has opened a new office and experience centre in Melbourne. The opening coincides with a time of expansion for the company following its strong financial results across the Asia Pacific region in 2023.

The experience centre, located in the suburb of Mulgrave, is an expansion of the first Australian facility the company opened in 2018. The concept has been significantly modernised, focusing on interactivity for a more hands-on experience rather than the visual experience previously presented to partners and customers.

Individual touchscreens allow users to tap into ten times more camera feeds than the previous incarnation and provide hands-on experience of advanced features such as license plate recognition and vehicle tracking, facial recognition, situational awareness, and IoT sensors, and integrating diverse technologies enabled via video. It is designed to be the most interactive in the industry, catering to a wide array of vendors and technologies, and currently supports an ecosystem of more than 14,000 devices.

“We have had great success with our experience centre concept since opening the first at our previous site and decided the time had come to expand and offer a more hands-on, visual experience to our partners and customers,” said Milestone’s Acting Country Manager Jordan Cullis.

The experience centre allows stakeholders to customise solutions to find the best solution for their specific requirements. It provides a comprehensive testing ground for high-level video deployments and a pathway to increased operational efficiency. The technology itself is designed to be industry-agnostic and can be used to design technologies across various industries rather than focusing on specific vertical markets.

“Working with our close partners in the industry such as healthcare, education and retail means that we can offer an experience where people can get the look and feel of how hardware and software work seamlessly together, try new things and experiment to really explore what is possible in the realm of video technology, added Cullis. “It also offers the service provider community the opportunity to demonstrate future-proof solutions to their customers.”

The new experience centre focuses on customer engagement, with partners encouraged to book the space to demonstrate key features of their technologies. Hands-on demonstrations will allow customers to see firsthand how various technologies integrate with the Milestone Systems suite, including XProtect, BriefCam, Hospital Assist and Kite.
