MS Tech has secured a major contract to deploy multiple units of its DUOSCAN™ explosives and narcotics trace detection systems at Adani Navi Mumbai International Airport (pictured), while also expanding its existing installations at Guwahati International Airport, strengthening aviation security screening across India.
The deployment supports security operations at India’s newest mega-airport, which is designed to handle up to 90 million passengers annually and process up to 2.5 million tonnes of cargo once fully operational. Inaugurated in December 2025, Navi Mumbai International Airport is a cornerstone infrastructure project aimed at easing congestion at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and positioning Maharashtra as a major aviation and logistics hub.
MS Tech’s DUOSCAN™ systems will be used to enhance explosives and narcotics trace detection across both passenger and air cargo screening operations. The installation reflects the airport operator’s focus on integrating advanced security technologies to manage high volumes efficiently while addressing evolving threats related to explosives and narcotics smuggling.
In parallel, additional DUOSCAN™ systems have been deployed at Guwahati International Airport, one of Northeast India’s key aviation hubs, supporting increased domestic and international traffic and reinforcing regional connectivity through enhanced screening capabilities.
MS Tech chief executive officer Doron Shalom said the continued procurement of the company’s systems by Adani Airports, along with recurring service and maintenance renewals, reflects the performance and reliability of MS Tech’s HF-QCM nanotechnology sensors. He said the company is pleased to continue supporting aviation security across Airports Authority of India facilities, noting that the systems improve checkpoint throughput while enhancing detection sensitivity and operational efficiency.
DUOSCAN™ is part of MS Tech’s broader portfolio of explosives, narcotics and liquid explosives detection systems, which includes EXPLOSCAN™, MULTISCAN™, LIQUISCAN™ and THREATSCAN™. The systems use High-Frequency Quartz Crystal Microbalance (HF-QCM) nanotechnology sensors developed and patented by MS Tech, featuring self-calibrating and self-cleaning capabilities, high sensitivity and non-radioactive operation.
MS Tech’s detection systems are designed for use across aviation and transportation security, critical infrastructure, military, customs and border control, mail inspection and cargo screening environments. The systems are operationally proven across a wide range of temperatures and are engineered to perform reliably in challenging conditions including dust and high humidity.
