Opticom Tech has announced the release of its updated CC02 industrial camera, which is now manufactured in the United States. The new model introduces several design improvements aimed at enhancing durability and performance in demanding industrial environments, including a reinforced anodized coating, integrated vibration mount, and a range of lens options.
The company said the updated CC02 was developed over an 18-month period in collaboration with a U.S. manufacturing partner. The redesign focused on strengthening the camera’s resistance to heat, dust, debris, and mechanical impact while maintaining the reliability and affordability of earlier versions.
Prototypes of the camera were tested in challenging industrial conditions such as sawmills, where exposure to vibration and airborne particles can compromise conventional monitoring equipment. The anodized coating offers improved protection against corrosion and wear, extending the camera’s operational lifespan in harsh settings.
A built-in vibration mount now comes as a standard feature rather than an optional accessory, simplifying installation and improving image stability where heavy machinery or movement is present. Opticom Tech has retained the full range of lens configurations to accommodate different monitoring needs.
Heidi Schmidt, Global Sales Manager at Opticom Tech, said the decision to shift production to the United States reflects the company’s focus on quality and long-term reliability. She noted that the updated model maintains the rugged performance for which the CC02 series is known while adding practical enhancements for industrial users.
The Made-in-USA CC02 industrial camera is available for order directly from Opticom Tech and through its distribution partners.
